Get the 262!!!! |
That mounting position looks a little farther back than the iNGS Low Mounts, but the height looks spot on.
I have mine set at basically a 0* AOA for daily driving I don't really need downforce. It has hex bolts so I can easily swap it to a higher angle if need be. I like the 0* spot because even at that, the actual curve of the wing still goes up in the rear and gives "some" downforce. :driving: |

i didn't really get why Cwiz wanted this particular wing till i saw it on his car at zdayz this year. it looks great and it fits the car really well.
i saw y'all mentioning adjusting the wing earlier. i don't know a whole lot about wings but i can tell you from what we've learned on the world challenge car i shoot for, on wings like this you are better off to leave it at zero * angle of attack. if you can find info on the downforce provided, it will probably be in japanese, that can help take the guess work out of it. even for HPDE/track days, you are better off leaving it at 0* AOA until you truly feel you need more rear downforce. the APR wing, which is a similar wing, will stall once you get more than a few degrees higher than 0. at that point you are just producing drag and not much downforce. however, i will say that on the race car, changing from the stock nismo wing to the aeromotions wing made a vast improvement in rear grip, especially under braking. it helped a lot with the "ice mode" problems. when driving on the limit, the rear brakes on these cars lock up before the fronts and the ABS freaks out. adding downforce to the rear helped counter this. now we have a standalone ABS unit so we don't worry about such things :stirthepot: |
i will try contacting ings and ask them if they can provide me some info on how to set the wing, otherwise i will leave it like it is now.. :)
|
it's also worth noting that the APR wing claims ~100lbs of downforce at 0* AOA at 100mph or something along those lines. i may be wrong about the speed but i remember the 100lbs part. the ings wing should be pretty similar

I swear that last picture looks like it was taken in the garage where Eleanor was stored in Gone In 60 Seconds... Also, wow the paint match is atrocious on that car.

Go find a road that in the past you get air on some of the hilly sections. With that wing it should feel as if there is a vacuum sucking your car to the road!
