if you guys are going to keep your cars longer than a few years, definitely get clearbra installed.

my G is 9yrs old and while i was very careful not to drive too close to the car in front, i have a lot of tiny impacts on my bumper. i should've clearbra'ed.

as a lessons learned, i clearbra'ed my Z's frontend a few months ago. she has 2 sesame sized chips which i touched up prior to installing the clearbra. i dont want the tiny speckles on my Z.

yah, i was hoping this would save my car too.

take it from me, do the clear bra. most clearbra shops can do custom installs so they just take a big sheet and cut it while they apply to aftermarket bits including your new lip.

Clear bra is a must... I had 90% of my car done with the car off the truck from Nissan.. I even painter taped the entire front at the dealer for my 10 mile drive to the clear bra installer so there would not be 1 rock chip
My wife even led as the pace car so no cars would get in front of me too close

If you go clear bra read up on the best clear bras for white. Some will yellow over time so go with something that has a good rep for non yellowing properties.
Also NEVER use anything besides clear bra safe sealants as most products contain butane, kerosene, petroleum and other ingredients that yellow or cloud up the clear bra.

volk -wat do you recommend as far as waxes and sealants for clearbra?

i only use Griot's SpeedShine on my car as it contains natural wax. as long as the bra lasts 2-3yrs im fine replacing it.
my z is only driven on dry weekends.

I believe Griots is great stuff, I bought some of the Xpel nano sealant that contains no dyes, petroleum etc but i havent used it yet.

My old installer used to use Zymol on my Venturesheild clear bra and that was great stuff as it contains no petroleum distillates.

Besides those 2 above i know there isnt a ton to choose from that doesnt contain petroleum. The Xpel stuff was pretty inexpensive as well, i tried their cleaner spray on my wifes clear bra and it smelled identical to Windex and seemed to have ruined the part of clear bra i tested it on. So i dont recommend the cleaner spray.

I do recommend Ventureshield as the first option, then LLumars new film (which is what I have similar to Ventureshield) and Xpel seems to be good as well.

Ventureshield- Virtually NO orange peel, strong film, if you scratch it you can use a heat gun to remove the scratches
Llumar- Strong film, virtually no orange peel, strong film, has self healing properties like ventureshield where heat will remove scratches.
3M- a lot of orange peel, strongest of all films but is the hardest to install. You can treat it like paint and it handles it fine (this meaning abrasive compounds to get a scratch out as this film is a clear coat not just a top coat).
Avery Dennison- Very orange peeled, slight cloudy look to it not recommended.

Keep in mind the films are not scratch proof so treat the film as well as you would your paint. I use Adams Merino wool wash mitt and dab dry with their "softest" micro fiber towel and the film is flawless.

Any questions don't hesitate to PM me or ask on here and I wiill give my input experience. All the films above I have had on my car or wifes car so I have 1st hand experience with them.
