quick question regarding fog light

I have a new 2012 touring/nav/sports pkg 370z. I was wondering if I would still need the harness and rear fog light from 370zsource.com to make it work. I looked behind the stock black fog light and it looks like there is a harness wired.

Has anyone with a 2012 touring/nav model bought the harness or is it not necessary? I looked at the DIY for fog light installs but they were dated back in 2010 and I saw AK370 and he had the base 370z. So would I need the harness or would I simply just need to buy the fog light in order for it to work?

Thanks

You need the harness. Nothing's different between base/touring or between model years.

Yep, what he said.

I've got a 40th anniversary. I did the fog light install this weekend. I know exactly what OP is talking about.

I did not opt to install it as a fog light, but while I was down there, I did notice an already existing harness. It is no doubt specifically for the fog light, but nothing was plugged into it. The wires ran up into the hatch area. Does anyone else know anything about this?

There is a DIY on how to use the existing harness and trigger it with a simple switch. Real fast wiring job. For mine, I just wired it to the license plate light and it comes on with the head lights or parking lights. There is another mod in the diy section that shows how to dial down the brightness by using a dual filament bulb and it worked great on mine.
