Yea, I am only familar with NY Vehicle and Traffic law, but it seems like every car I see with a FL plate here in NY always has tints, so I made that assumption!!! Hmmm.....what do you tell a cop??? Please dont say, "I bought the car like this!"....because it doesn't matter they are still illegal and your driving with them!....just say nothing and pay the ticket or remove the tints....here in NY if you remove them within 24 hours and bring it to a PD the ticket gets dropped!...not sure how any other states work!

other times, if you know the law and the officer is just trying to handout tickets, ask him for his badge id# and ask to talk to his watch commander and let the watch commander know that you will file a formal complaint. the watch commander is actually the one responsible for the actions of the police officers, so the complaints are actually on the watch commander's head and not the actual police officer giving you the ticket. |
