Is this how a ClearBra should look?
Just had a ClearBra installed on my new Z last week. The picture isn't that great but you can see the imperfection near the front edge of the hood. The pic doesn't show it but these actually run all along the leading edge of the hood. Is this the way this process should turn out? I haven't had it done before.
The installer said to give it a few days in the sun to settle out, which I have, but I don't see it changing. Time for a redo? |

It shouldn't look like that. I've got a few of those because the dealer I bought the car from farmed out the clear bra work to rank amateurs. Coincidentally, it happened in your neck of the woods.

It looks like they might have heated up or stretched the material too much. I have never seen a flawless clear bra so don't expect perfection but if it bothers you that much and it is worth your time, take it back.

My clearbra has such imperfections but it didn't bother me that much so I just left it.

Your installer wasn't the one a dealer (who shall not be named, but is active on the forums) in that area sends all their cars to, was it?

[QUOTE=kenchan;2415580]should look like this... (flawless)
btw i installed mine a few weeks ago. Hey Kechan, I'm assuming you are from Ontario since you are sponsored by Alcheng. Just wondering where you got that done? The ones on mine are starting to haze and lift a little from the previous owner. Looking to replace it. Thanks! |
