NISSAN Intelligent Key

2012 NISSAN 370Z - NISSAN Intelligent Key - YouTube

Was browsing YouTube and came across this boring but informational video. Thought I would share, I had no idea our key's were so smart haha! I learned two things, 1. that our windows CAN roll down by themselves? If so I been in the dark. 2. The gas door should LOCK? Mine is always unlocked, must be broken?

Window down is old news.
And yes, your gas door is broken, easy dealer fix

It's a good intelligent key, but anyone know if you can disable the alarm function? Even in my pocket it goes on at times and draws unwanted attention.

Insurance companies must be pretty confident of the intelligent key system as far as keeping a car from being stolen. I called my insurance company about any discounts for a Viper alarm system being installed on my Z. Zero, nada, none dollars saved per year, BUT if I install Lojack I'd get $5 a year off my insurance premium. :icon14:

The windows-down thing is nice. Sadly, I really can't get it to work until I'm about 10 steps away from the car anyway. And even then, it seems to stop at random moments.

Key under jaw, open mouth, try again.
This can amplify the signal slightly but I do agree the windows down seems to be a fairly close proximity thing for mine also.
