btw, that amount of high spots means you got missing paint in the inner quarter panel where the tool pushed unless the tech touch it up for you. so you have exposed metal which is no different than drilling. at least with drilling, most techs will seal it using silicone before plugging it...and with a usable access hole, the tech will have direct access to the dent so he would do much less guessing... ie much less high spot distortion. |

Here's what a nice little hail stone did to my fender. The dent popped out nicely and it looks like new. In my case though they did repaint the car - had to replace hood, roof and hatch.

I'm assuming he was implying they didn't do any drilling but I could be wrong.
Thanks again for all the info. I wasn't completely sure if there was a way to get ride of those makes without painting. What you said makes perfect sense though. I'm honestly just happy I didn't have to drill, with my luck my fender will get damaged again in the future and I'll have to repaint it then anyways. |
