Rear license plate LED
I want to install some white LEDs back there, I know theres vendors that will sell LEDs and I know it'll work for sure but if I want to buy some myself, are these LED lights universal or is there like a specific code that fits our cars?
|
I think they're called wedge style or something. Did you check the diy?

Just don't make the mistake I did. Blew a fuse somehow and accessing the fuse box to change it was a major PITA. Also the bulbs didn't work, then again I ordered cheap ones from iJDMtoy. The daytime running lights I and MAP lights work fine. The running lights, MAP lights, trunk light, and plate lights all use the same 194 style wedge shape bulb.

Make sure the car is off and you take the keys out just to be on the safe side

Also, when you install them, LED's have a polarity, so if they don't light up, flip them around and try again.
If you're just looking for LED bulbs, me and other forum members have good luck with either Diodedynamics, or vleds. I personally have used one of these pairs on different cars: 5K WHITE 3 CHIP 5 LED LIGHT BULBS 194 168 158 2821 | 1 PAIR for 3 years now, and they still work bright and strong. |
There is a guy on kijiji that makes his own, prices them higher than I would like to pay myself but have a look at his stuff. Claims they are brightest leds. I'll pm you when I find them

Are these bulbs the same type that can fit the front parking lights?

Thanks guys, I can always count on you guys to help out!

I bought mine locally, very easy mod and makes a huge difference.
Highly recommended, especially on a white car. |
