No more Stillen Lip?

I ended up ordering the support rods - the LongAcre ones. So with the rods & backer washers, it came to around $75. I think it will look kinda cool

I ended up ordering the support rods - the LongAcre ones. So with the rods & backer washers, it came to around $75. I think it will look kinda cool since they're black, the lip is black, and they'll be going across the red of the car.

Now I'll just have to fab up a backer plate to go under the lip. Since it will have the rod as support, figure I can go pretty thick with it.

Biggest PITA is going to be that I'll have to remove the lip and reposition it. I think it's pulled down far enough now that it won't simply push back up & sit flat. It never fit 100% perfect anyway - it's tight in the corners but bowed out in the middle a bit.

I've never had any problems with my Stillen lip. I've had it on my car for over a year now. Just don't use the stock hardware. The bodyshop that installed it on mine used their own hardware and some tape. Never had any issues

Just installed my stillen lip and added the support rods. I'm actually digging the look.

would a heat gun help in this situation to straighten it out? obviously the splitter will need to be removed from the car to be massaged back to shape, but just wondering.

thought someone made a metal bracket that runs across the entire bottom of the splitter to help maintain its shape?

MACSIMIZER is that the Big Red 1.5 ton jack you are using on the Z. Do you have any issues with that jack lifting the Z? Thank for your feed back.

Its the 1.5 ton low profile lightweight one from Harbour Freight, been a good litle jack so far. Look around in the back of magazines for Harbour Freight coupons, they always have them on sale, just stay away from there ratchets and sockets if you like your hands.
