Not sure what you used to brace it, but don't use a piece of flat strap. Use something with an L shape or a U-channel so that you have vertical stiffness. Shouldn't take much.

It was flat stock, but it was pretty stiff. I didn't want a leg protruding down to (a) catch a curb, or (b) have aero pressure on it. Even with a 24" long piece of 1 x 1 L-angle, you're getting like 24 sq. in. of aero resistance on it, which would be a lot of pressure. About like holding your hand out the window @ 65 mph.

It worked fine all summer, in 100+ degree temps, but fell off in the fall. Was hoping it would be ok without it. I didn't have any issues until it got to about 90 this summer.

There is enough of a lip on the front of the splitter that you could do a 1/2" hat stiffener and not hang below the front of the lip. I'm probably going to do this soon and will post results.

I've never had any problems with my Stillen lip. I've had it on my car for over a year now. Just don't use the stock hardware. The bodyshop that installed it on mine used their own hardware and some tape. Never had any issues

Just installed my stillen lip and added the support rods. I'm actually digging the look.
