The new location looks clean. Did you scrap the heated seat controls completely?

It's probably the other way around. Race logic will cut down on the additional wheel spin you'll pick up from re gearing the rear.

It's really neat system from a technical point of view. In general I'm in favor of driver aids (for instance, I don't mind dropping the clutch from the car for paddle-shifters), but this in particular is sort of the last and most defining real driving skill. Put this on the car and it's basically self-driving on the track. It's doing for you one of the primary things you're supposed to be learning to do for yourself. It's undoubtedly a huge and useful upgrade for an overpowered street car driven by someone who hasn't learned how to control such a car. That's a lot of tuners dropping big turbo kits on cars, I guess. But on the track, I'd argue you're better off just driving an car with less power until you learn to control it yourself instead of installing a system that does it for you and prevents you from learning to do it yourself.

For that price, I expect little gnomes to jump out of the wheel wells at each turn and spray down some liquid rubber for added traction...

I'm curious to see if Ecutek will provide similar results when they allow the stock VDC to be adjusted.

From my understanding, Ecutek will allow traction control to be set to different values when it is tuned. Racelocic will allow you to adjust it on the fly.

Right but I imagine once you find the level of slip you like, you pretty much leave it alone. Hopefully it would adapt on its own to different road conditions and not need constant tweaking. So I don't see a big need to have on the fly adjustments. For initial tuning, that would be very nice to have though. I wonder how Ecutek will fine tune the traction control for each car.

Being able to adjust it on the lets you adjust for rain, track conditions, and have different settings for track and street. My boss has it on his 600 whp track supra and swears its the greatest thing ever.

Late 40's, bad combover? This guy lives in Austin and manages all of TX. It's not out of the realm of possibility you've run into him, especially if you spent any time at tracks here.

Also racelogic can do launch control which is why it's nice to have the knob next to you and not tucked away in the cubby or out of reach. Ecutek claims it can allow for no lift shifting which is a plus, racelogic can do it too but requires you to tap into the abs line I believe and it's an extra thing to buy.

And OP that new spot looks so clean, really nice!

Ecutek coud possibly be set for street, rain, and dry traction control if it has the ability to switch between tunes on the fly like Uprev (which i'm guessing is possible). However, I doubt it could sample or adapt as fast as Racelogic.

Also, where yall have the controller is where I would want mine as well...

How'd you guys get the controller to stay in that location? What does the backside look like? I'm about to start my Racelogic install and would love my controller in that position.

just pull up the cup holder and see for yourself? theres ample room down there.

No, did you make an aluminum bracket to hold it in or have to fab up something to hold it in place? I know how to take the center console out. Just wondering how the controller is secured there
