I had always thought about doing this as well. If I were to get the tails for the Z I would definitely color match both heads and tails.

Sweet! Let us know how the install goes. There has to be a more convenient way to get to the rear bolt without ripping too many things apart.

Nope, there is only one way and that is to remove the trim pieces. Unless you want to drill a hole in the trim pieces to access the nut. (not recommended)
It's a rather painless project that takes less than a hour to complete.

I bet you could easily find someone in Japan to trade taillights with us. They are probably dying for a pair of USDM like we want theirs. If only we could find us a Japanese speaking liason to hop over onto the Nissan Japanese forums for us and make a proposal on swapping! Hey i'm full of great ideas...

I just got blacked out and LED gilded headlights for my 370z from CiNcity Designs. If they are good enough quality, I'll buy the JDM tails and have CiNcity Designs black them out as well.

this might sound silly, but i would like to see what a lil bit of tint would look like on the J-Spec tail lights....?.... something like what porshe did one year on a pair of tail lights. kinda smoked clear...
