Window problem
Hi everyone I'm new here and got 2009 z370 where driver side door was replaced due to accident. Now everything works fine until I noticed that as I open driver door the window does not got down little bit. And when closing the driver door the window does not go up to close the little gap.
Everything else works fine, automatically up and down, passenger window functions perfectly. I tried the reset car On state, 20 sec down, 20 sec up. Still same issue. Any advice? |
Search "window reset" and choose "show post".
Several reset options show up. Hope this helps you find a solution. |

I would to make sure the door switch is not disconnected, Broken or taped down.
Thats the door switch on the cars lower door frame under the door latch You can test it by opening the door and your interior lights should turn on and turn off when pushed in If thats good the switch is good and you could try the window reset procedure |
Might be worth checking the fuses just to make sure there isn't one for that system. If the window reset doesn't work like you say, might need to just swing by a dealer.

Thanks for all of your inputs, really appreciate it.
Resitting didn't fix it. When opening door light goes on, so its not that sensor.. Dealer said the motor timer is not working, and recommended changing the motor, and BCM ! I asked him to justify why BCM needs replacement, he said because the BCM timer is no working too.. Is there really a relay or timer in BCM? i felt he's fooling around really Is there anyway to repair the timer in the motor? Thanks |
There is an adjustment on the door jamb. It's a screw. Loosen it a quarter turn or so. It locks the 'door close movement' of the window.
Only reason I know about it is that my tint guy showed it to me when he did my tint as a way to lock the window in the up position. |
