Looking for a wide body solution
Ok car nuts, save me here.
I run 20x10 and 20x12's, currently at -4.5 degrees camber to fit 305/25/20's. it's KILLING me. I need a wide body solution that's economic and practical as I'm sick and tired of dropping $8-10k per summer on tires. My last Set of Falkens lasted me a whole... Wait for it... 3 weeks!!!! I was thinking of getting the veilside's over fenders for the rear, and I've been told I can flare the fronts and the bumper will be pulled together with the metal. I'm sure there's plenty of folks on here that know how much cutting/welding may be involved, and if anyone has some good advice, post it up. Also it will probably help to mention than I'll be switching over to R888's once my camber is down to -1, -1.5 degrees. |

My God. I have no help to offer, but just reading that made my wallet hurt. No matter how much it costs to get this straightened out, you're still saving money.

What are your wheel offsets?
You should be able to get away with 20x12 without running -4.5 camber in the rear and fitting a 305 tire.

This. Something seems odd.

I have 0 offset in the rear. Full 6" deep dish. Car is slammed to sit only an inch off the ground as well. And if I'm gonna change the rims, it will be to go even wider.. I have some evil evil plans for the engine/drivetrain when the warranty runs out

I'm assuming you're on coilovers, so why not raise the car up a tad and minimize the tire damage until you can get the issue fixed?

They'll stick out and I want to avoid that. Plus, reducing camber without modifying my quarter panels might result in them getting sliced up on a bump. It's a PITA, as you can see.

Have you considered going custom, since you're already spending so much? UAM did that for their fenders and it came out beautifully, very stock looking.

There is a guy down in S FL that runs 20x13 with 345 wide at -2.1, I believe. Stock fenders. ^^

In case you haven't seen this thread already:
New 370z Widebody in the process! He mentions having his rear fenders molded and sold later on - not sure what ever came of it though. Might be worth looking in to.

The nightmare of it all is that I have no idea where to even start right now. Hopefully some vendors or knowledgeable guys on here can give me ideas on what I can/can't do. The bottom line is, car stays slammed, wheels stay on, and until I can get full contact, I can't do turbos. |
