Rubber floor mats...

Hey folks, don't you think the carpetted floor mats for the 370 are beautiful? I do. BUT, they probably won't hold up too well in poor weather (with snow, ice and rain being ground into them).

So, I'm hoping some of the companies who do rubber products will see this and guage some interest in making a rubber floor mat for our 370's. Also, maybe a rear rubber mat to protect the hatch area (?).

What do you think? .... Interested?

im interested.

I have the carpet ones then the oem rubber ones then got weatherTechs molded mats.

There is a thread somewhere on here from a guy that bought custom rubber floor and hatch mats from some guy on e-bay. I think they had a hexagon pattern in them to collect water and dirt.

The mats in the Z are cheaply made, but not too expensive. I will probably just replace them as they get worn.

Heres a crappy pic of the weathertechs.
It's the mats that are advertised in Popular Science Magazine like all the time...lol
they are molds of the floor board.

The thin gray rubber floor mats I bought at Pep Boys are totally acceptable. If you want to stick them down, two faced tape will do the job.

Something like WeatherTech would be great. The stock mats in my 350Z had a hole from my heel rubbing against it, and it "ate" through the carpeting underneath.

I love Weathertech's Floor Liners (the ones with the side bolsters, not just a floor mat). I had them in my Civic all the time. When I traded in my Civic, the stock floor mats were practically in new condition.

I don't think Weathertech has made Floor Liners for the 370z yet though. I'm still waiting for them to get started! :(

Yes, that would be great. WeatherTech makes great stuff. So how about it WeatherTech?

Not sure if I'm following your post... You say that you "had" the carpetted mats. And then the "oem rubber ones" (?) Is this for a 370? If so, where did you get these "oem rubber ones"?

I switched them, carpet gets ruined during winters

oem rubber ones are the all season ones, they do not hold the water, therefore salt stains all over.

Now I'm on the weathertechs.

All for the G in the pic I posted.

What is the Nissan part number for these "oem rubber" ones? I'm only asking because the mats that come with the car are carpetted, not rubber. I think that you're talking about mats for your G37, right? I was asking about mats for the 370's (not for an Infinity)

I was giving the idea. Carpet comes standard, but rubber ones are an option from dealer.

6MT 07-23-2009 02:10 PM

Not for the 370. I guess you're just not going to answer my original question.:ugh2:

Instead of whining, email weathertechs and see what's up. Companies are not going to check threads all over the net to see what's wanted.....lol
