GTS Carbon Print Acrylic Headlight Covers Installed today!
So I wanted to have my headlights smoked but wasn't sure if vinyl was right for me as it is semi-permanent so i went ahead and ordered the GTS Carbon Print Acrylic Headlight Cover Show Kit, 09-12 370Z from the Z store and turns out they are ok!
I added some velcro on the inside lip that goes under the hood and on the bottom it is sort of clipped on to the headlight so it wont be coming off on the highway. The headlamp visibility is the same as before, since this is really just a clear cover with some spider web lines all over it. Heres a picture comparing light with the cover and light without. Expensive but i think its worth it since it takes about 2 minutes to remove if you need to and nothing is done permanent to the car. (not that i mind permanent :D) http://imageshack.us/a/img19/2676/photojs.jpg |
Hmm can you post a close up pic?

not trying to put you down but the cover just makes the headlight look dirty. It's not dark enough to look intentional. That's just my opinion though.

I really can't see a difference

I guess It's kind of hard to see in the picture but it looks different in person, darker and smoky.
Looks like the pictures on the Zstore. http://www.thezstore.com/store/graph...arge501994.jpg I removed those GTO stickers on them.. no idea whats up with them :S |
Interesting... After seeing these I might get a darker set myself for the headlights and the taillights. I to was going to do vinyl but I wasnt sure of how good my installing vinyl skills are lol. I am curious though as to how they will hold up at high speeds. Any issues yet?

If they had a set that was a light smoke color I would be down. The black set they have is a bit dark. They would add protection from rock chips.
