rear fog light
how do I get rear fog light to work? it has a wire going to it, but haven't messed with it yet. Maybe bulb is blown or I seem to remember that it doesn't work on some models. Any one have ideas. Thanks, Mez.

There are numerous ways to light that fog light up. From blinking when braking, on when braking, on with switch, on with parking lights. It’s really just up to you. You will need to wire into something it’s not just plug and play. Go in to the diy section and spend time researching what way you would like to make it work.

I am assuming you are talking about the dummy light that comes with the Z? If so, non of the US models come with fog lights, you have to buy aftermarket fog lights and replace it with the dummy light.
But if you actually bought an aftermarket fog light, there are couple of DIY threads in the DIY section. |
The US Model does not come from the factory with a fog light.
The EVO-R light has 3 wires, simple to tap. The OEM Fog light has a plug and a harness that can be installed super easily as well. |

ak has got a killer step by step thread in the diy section, but what is the wire for that is plugged into the dummy lamp? seems as if its pre wired just no lamp and no switch. some vehicles I've worked with are pre-wired for things read to just plug n play. why not the Z, when there is a wire there, dammit! lol... what's it for I wonder??:shakes head:

The EVO-R one is much easier to install and less of a headache imo. |
Found factory switch for fog light that goes between factory seat heater switches.... The 370z source has the kit. Very cool.

I printed ak's diy and took it to my local stereo shop. they hooked it up and I love it. definitely nothing I would have attempted to do myself.
