New stupid question!! HOw the Frick do you remove the shift knob on 370z?

Strap wrench on the knob, use a rag for protection, vise grips to hold the shifter under the shifter boot. NOPE vise grip will slip and cause scratches and miring.

1st A True Z Fanatic Join Date: Jul 2012 Location: I 80 Biz U.S. 50 Posts: 1,710 Drives: Platinum Z Rep Power: 1616	Strap wrench on the knob, use a rag for protection, vise grips to hold the shifter under the shifter boot. NOPE vise grip will slip and cause scratches and miring. The best method I came across was 2 strap wrenches. 1 on the knob 1 on the shaft. Home Depo is the place to go for the wrenches. 6$ husky strap wrenches and if you open the package correctly you can return them when you’re done.
