Stillen Front Lip and EVO-R Side Blades?

Tried searching for awhile and haven't seen this combo. Anyone got pics?

1 guy had it. He colored match the lip and skirts to PW. Looked good.

I really like the Stillen lip and would of already have it if it werent for the sagging issues. Some report they dont have the problem but there are many with it. Just something to think about before pulling the trigger on the Stillen.

:iagree:
I've been reluctant to buy it for the same reason. I tried buying one used, i figured if it would mess up at least i didn't pay full price. No luck finding one yet lol.

Yeah I'm fully aware of the sagging issues, but I also don't mind the look of splitter rods so that is always an option. And the lip and car would be black so they would blend pretty will. And if it doesn't sag, all the better.

Another option that I haven't seen anyone do yet is a carbon fiber stiffener.
Carbon Fiber Stiffeners > Hat Stiffeners

Just lay up your own at 5/8" tall and about 1" channel.

I had it on mine also at one point, just in black. Should be in my journal thread in the sig

Id recommend another front lip. Stillen is total trash and their customer service is laughable.

Shineauto has a much better looking lip that won't sag and warp like crazy. Trust me, stay away from stillens lip.

As I mentioned above, if the lip does sag or warp, its an easy fix. So this doesn't bother me. I also won't be needing Stillen's customer service because both parties are aware of the issue anyway.

It's really the only lip I like without blending and color matching and given the price point, I wouldn't be out much if it doesn't work out.

Here's that set up on my solid red.

Feel like I just won the lottery. Got the side blades and front splitter for less than $500 shipped, brand new :happydance:

speedfreek 04-09-2013 10:53 PM

That doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. The new Stillen lips are supposed to come with the support rods from them to prevent the sagging issue.

Looks good man. The Stillen lip and Evo R side blades were made for each other.

I also installed the same combo. I painted mine so they match since the blades were shiny plastic and the lip was mat. I also installed a aluminum stiffner but no support rods so we will see how it goes, so far soo good.

Where?

NOFATCHX 04-30-2013 10:25 PM

I've had plans to do the same. Going to wrap blades and lip in di noc carbon vinyl to match roof, rear diffuser, pillars and front mud "flap" - all on satin pearl white

You'll be replacing the di-noc on the blades a lot. The front edge of them takes quite a beating from gravel & such. Just a heads up.

And you've got to remove the front (and rear) flaps for the blades.
