Default Do you have issues with your cruise control not engaging?

I have noticed that this has become more prevalent... Like in the past 24 hours it has popped up a lot.
A few members PM'd me about it after they saw my thread about my Nissan experience... Mine and at least ONE other confirmed member iceman21_23, have THE EXACT same issue, and I know the remedy, or a way to MAKE the CC work.
I just want to make a "database" as to how many are failing to see if we can figure out a trend.

(If you want to try MY fix, PM me)

Did your CC die all of a sudden, or gradually?:

Date it finally gave out:

Miles when it completely died:

Year of your 370Z:

Date it finally gave out: August 2012

Miles when it completely died: 25k

Year of your 370Z: 2009

Additional Comments: dealershit said it worked fine when they ran their diagnostic...
Come to think of it, my 2009 Maxima had the same issue... At 40k miles

OUTSIDE LEFT-FIELD THOUGHT:

Maybe have the dealership can look at the condition of your EDR or your EDR log cache and clear if that is so large new logs cannot be written (what happened with our C300 Sport and CC). The Electronic Data Recorder keeps logs running of certain events for crash reporting, and should only record 30-60 seconds, but if it cannot overwrite the cache, funny things might happen.

Don't know if this will help or not, but I found the following list of inputs/outputs for the Automatic Speed Control Device (ASCD) on page EC-62 of the 2009FSM:

ASCD brake switch - Brake pedal operation
Stop lamp switch - Brake pedal operation
Clutch pedal position switch (M/T models) - Clutch pedal operation
ASCD steering switch - ASCD steering switch operation
Park/neutral position (PNP) switch (M/T models) - Gear position
Combination meter - Vehicle speed*
TCM (A/T models) - Gear position and Powertrain revolution*
*: This signal is sent to the ECM via the CAN communication line

First thing I would check is the ASCD Brake Switch. Then the other pedal switches. Then the PNP Switch. Then the ASCD Steering Switch. GL.

I know the EXACT issue to be honest, I just want to see what other dealershits are doing in terms of repairing it/diagnosing it, and I think it's an issue that will eventually plague all 370s, like the steering lock problem, it's inevitable.

Lol, I don't think ANYONE would buy this car with the stories I have put forth.
And it's gotta be kinda prevalent that people PM'd me, no? Lol

Honestly, I'm praying corporate and the dealershits fix everything. If it gets fixed, we're gold, I'll go back to loving this the car... As it sits, I hope someone hits it on the one day it gets parked on the street

All of a sudden. It worked last time I used it...now, nothing.

Date it finally gave out:
Not entirely sure... but 7/16 is when I noticed it didn't work.

Miles when it completely died:
23,000

Year of your 370Z:
2010 40th Ann.

Additional Comments:
No blinking of the cruise control light. Everything looks to be in working... all except for engaging the cruise control. The CC light comes on, but when I try to set a speed... it doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried a bunch of different speeds (30, 40, 50, 60) to no avail. =/
