I found, that lifting up on my brake pedal allowed the CC to be set.

I have to get under there and adjust the brake switch accordingly.

Let me resurrect this:

Not only does my CC light comes on and doesn't set, the HVAC doesn't work, the heated seats doesn't work, the auto dimming mirror doesn't work and the parking brake release solenoid does not engage and release the shifter when I step on the brakes.

I get this with my OBD Diagnostic Tester as well: U0164 - Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module

I am thinking there is a master fuse for all this.

If lifting the pedal works, you know the switch needs adjustment.

You can use a multimeter to verify operation, also.

So... now my Z is going on day one in the shop... they still couldn't find out where and why the HVAC, cruise control, parking release, heated seats, and home link systems just went out....
But I have a feeling they are racking up the bill....

Okay, it looks like I need a HVAC control module amplifier to start. may not fix all the ailments but now I have something to go on.

2010 Nismo 370Z. 55K miles it started to fail. Cruise light comes on, but it won’t set.
Fix: Clutch pedal switch was causing it not to work. I could prove it by ‘blipping’ the clutch pedal with a quick snap, and then it would set again. You could try cleaning the switch, or replace the $35 part yourself:
