I bought a "heated seat" switch and then had my dealer install the switch in the "empty" slot between the two existing heated seat switches then wire the rear fog

I bought a "heated seat" switch and then had my dealer install the switch in the "empty" slot between the two existing heated seat switches then wire the rear fog (from the BCM) to the switch.

Hope that helps.

Body Control Module...don't feel bad; I didn't know what it was until recently either.

Is the rear fog light really needed in cali? I mean we get some fog here but not to point where it lingers for a long time.

There are lots of things you don't necessarily need often than are really handy when you do need them.

I've already used mine more than I really anticipated I would but for me; the decision has more to do with simply not wanting a black piece of non-functional plastic where a rear fog light could otherwise be.
