No one making fender braces or real rear diffuser?
2 common mods available on the market that make a noticeable difference on the car's handling are fender braces and a rear diffuser, yet there aren't any available for the 370 yet after 4 years. Whats going on?
For those who don't know what they look like, here's some examples on the 350: As for the "rear diffusers" that available for the 370 right now, those are just pretty cosmetic pieces that don't do jack sh1t.

People have been asking for a true real diffuser for years, but no company has or is stepping up.

Theres so much aftermarket support for the 350z.. Im jealous
I think evoR has a rear defuser but only for the nismo version. Thats about all we've got though. |

just seems like the only options right now is to custom fit the 350 or rx7 amemiya diffuser. gh3y

i feel like there won't be an aftermarket abundance for the 370 until it's at least 5-7 years old when prices drop down to around 20k so more people can afford it, thereby creating more demand.

I ran a custom made "real" rear diffuser on mine and couldn't get a difference in lap times or improved car feel after several design iterations... the problem is the airflow leading up to the rear axle is turbulent and needs to be smoothed out with an under-tray / perhaps other mods in order to get benefits... there's going to need to be some real aero testing to make this all work and please tell me who has the money to rent a wind tunnel or CFD model the entire car? ideally we'd get this out of Nissan

so far as fender braces, interesting idea... there's other bracing available to address front-rear stiffness, and of course roll cage for serious track cars... do you have a particular handling concern you are trying to address with these?

Fender braces may show a marked improvement on handling in a 350, but I somewhat doubt they'd have as noticeable of an effect on the 370....

Which would be good if you had them all setup ready to go ahead of time. Say: -Stock Coupe -Stock Nismo -Modded Nismo with front/rear air diffuser -Modded coupe with front/rear air diffuser But who wants to donate money?

"GTSPEC USA <gtspecusa@gmail.com>
Mar 13 (6 days ago) to me Sorry Martin our G37 fender brace we offer doesn't fit the 370z. Do you think there is a market for it. You can always start an interest group on the forums. If we get enough inquires we will look into it. Thank you Sales " |

There isn't one for the 370z since it's not listed on their site.

two reasons for OEMs to spend engineering $ on underbody aero... one is downforce what we want, two is fuel efficiency what honda consumers want... the civic is a mature platform in a very competitive class, where the consumer cares a lot about fuel efficiency... not sure if a z buyer would pay more for an extra 0.5 mpg and guessing most Z buyers wouldn't be able to feel an extra 100-200 lbs of rear downforce. i could be wrong but i think we're in a small group and nissan knows it
