Help finding always on power source

Can some help me find a power source in the driver's footwell that stays on when the ignition is turned off?

There are wiring diagrams/fuseblock layouts/&c in the FSM which is available for download on this site.

Thanks for the reply, but I have no idea how to read a wiring schematic.

Tell me exactly when you want power* and I will see what I can figure out. How many amps/watts will you be pulling?

*
All the time (straight to battery)?
When in ACC and/or ON mode?
Only when ignition off (off when ign on)?

You are the best!
I want it to be on all the time - whether the ignition is on or off. I intend to connect my phone charger to that power source. It needs to be located on the driver's side. I think the area near the footwell fuse box would be easiest.

I'll see what I can find. Might take a day or two (it can be a PITA to find things in the FSM at times).

I have my cell phone charger plugged into the cigarette lighter (or whatever the PC term is nowadays) on the passenger side with the phone thrown in the cubby. The cig lighter is only hot when the engine is running, but it's on enough to keep the phone charged. Tapping into the back of the cig lighter may be a good alternative for you.

Edit: Finding the connector/pin info for the FUSE BLOCK (J/B) (that's what Nissan calls the fuse block in the driver footwell) was pretty easy, but I'm assuming that since you can't read wiring diagrams, figuring out connectors and pins isn't your thing either. I'll post wire colors when I find them.

I think I've found a few B+ wires on the Fuse Block (J/B). I believe this info to be correct, but keep in mind that I'm just Some Guy On The Intertubes. Use at your own risk. Trust, but verify. Most of the info was taken from the PG section of the 2009 FSM.

On the left side of the fuse block are three connectors. The top one is M3, middle M2, and bottom M1.
M1 pins are numbered, LTRTTB, 1A, 4A, 2A, 5A, x, 6A, x, 7A, 3A, 8A.
M2 pins are numbered, LTRTTB, 1B, 5B, 2B, 6B, x, 7B, x, 8B, 3B, 9B, 4B, 10B.
x = no connection.
See PG-84 of the 2009 FSM for a pretty drawing.

Pin 4A of connector M1 is B+. Wire color is shown as "P", but I can't remember if that's Pink or Purple - there is a list somewhere in the FSM. It is powered by fuse 9 (10A) in the fuse block.

Pin 6B of connector M2 is B+. Wire color is yellow. Powered by fuse 6 (10A) in the fuse block.

Pin 8B of connector M2 is B+. Wire color is red. B+ from IPDM (E5-7). I do not recommend using this one. If you do, make sure to install an inline fuse as close as possible to your tap.

Guys, I know this is a very old thread, but I just purchased a 2013 370Z Touring w/ sport package. I've added a front and rear dash cam and trying to find a constant voltage source in the J/B area. I've found plenty of ACC sources, but fuse 6 and 9 don't seem to be a constant source, even though the schematic looks like it is. I really don't want to run a wire from the battery, might tap off the 12V constant for the stereo. Any ideas?

Thanks

If you don't have a bose system it's probably safe to use bose amp fuse that is constant. It's rated for 20A.

If you do have bose, i wouldn't use it and I'd get a DMM and test the open lines while the car is off to find your constant.

I do have the BOSE system. I used the Push Eng Start fuse for the B+ line which has 12V when I have the door open. And used the Cig Lighter for the ACC. It seems to be working for the most part with exception that the dash cam settings default to factory when I turn the car off. Maybe the push eng start only has power when the door is open? It's such a small space it's hard to get a measurement with the door closed. Or maybe I have a bad camera.

The STOP LAMP fuse is always on

That's what I ran my dash cam on so it could have power for the motion triggered recording security feature when the car is parked.

I ran a dedicated line from the battery because I plan to operate s few things from it. Given the placement of the battery and the fact that there's already a bundle of wires running through the firewall at that location, it's not that much more work than tapping from the fuse block. Just something to consider.
