Idea for a new lip - Am i Crazy?
Inspired by the new audi tt rs - I'm curious what a titanium lip would look like on a z.
Not sure if anyone has done this before. Here is Audi's version http://s1.aecdn.com/images/gallery/a...ter-4729_5.jpg I made a very crude version for the z in paint. One with the middle piece and one without. imgur: the simple image sharer *Click next/previous to add/remove lower section I still haven't decided if I love or hate the idea. Thoughts? |
Meh... I'd like to see how far out it sticks
|
yah... no.

So far Im not liking the double middle section one at all.
I think the single one could be done well but its hard to picture. Anyone with photoshop skills that could make a better rendering please do |

if the goal is to get a flat front bottom on the rounded Z base bumper, probably best just to get the Ings.

After making the crappy rendering I thought it would work best as the Ings just without the end pieces on the side of the bumper. The more I look at it though, the more I think some things just don't translate to other cars. |
just be warned that the ings lip is not a finished product. it needs to be sanded and clear coated (painted if you get the non cf version).

I think it has potential, just needs to be photoshopped better and maybe redesigned just a tad to flow with the lines of our car. I love love love the Audi front bumpers of the new A4's and stuff, but those cars are slightly more angular whereas our cars are full of curves. From what I read the 370z was actually designed by a woman who want to embody sleek curves and sexiness in a car. The lip would have to flow with that for it to look good.

Get an Audi TT RS

Plus I couldn't part with my Z. And my license plate would look stupid on an audi :) |
seems mighty unlikely, I would say you would have to be a guinea pig and do some custom plastic dipping or vinyl wrapping
