Did anyone here wrap their car yet? If so, how much material do you need. Most rolls come in 5ft length rolls. How many yards or feet of it do i need? Thanks

If you do post some pics! I am thinking about doing it. I had a few places in mind, with quotes from 1200-5500... Very expensive in my opinion. What do you all think? I want to wrap my car because i have a lot of chips and scratches, especially on the hood and front bumper. It bugs the hell out of me everytime i look at it! So i figured this would be cheaper than getting a new paint job. If you have your car wrapped, or pictures of a freinds car (any make/model) please post up pics and approximate cost, as well as pros/cons you have personally run into. Thanks guys!

You might want to visit Gatorwraps | Vehicle & Car Wraps | Signs & Banners tho, you can request for a quote plus they have a lot of vinyl wraps with lots of colors to choose from. Professionals there will be able to address all your concerns plus you can request for a quote. They have branches and installers located in just about every large city.

A standard full roll is good enough with some spare material incase of any mistakes or touch ups later down the road without having to buy another roll.

Hey guys, new to the forum here, hope i'm doing this right. I just got done wrapping my Z in Satin Frozen Vanilla by 3M. I ordered 50 feet of material which comes on a roll 60" wide. I used almost all of it and was actually a little nervous towards the end that I might not have enough. If you are wanting to wrap your Z, I would say to order 60 feet of material just to be safe. I have more pics of my vinyl wrap process on my profile if you want to check it out. Feel free to ask questions.......

I was always wondering what happens after the vinyl is removed?!?

Any negatives for the existing paint and in particular the clear coat?

Any first hand experience?

Yes, vinyl wraps can be removed without hurting the paint. They also help protect the paint while on the vehicle. It is not as thick as a Paint Protection Film, but will help with some of the smaller rocks and debris.

That came out great! Did you have any prior experience going into it? Difficulty on a scale 1-10? How many hours do you have into it?

Very impressive!

I have a few vehicles wrapped and just remember wrapping doesn't hide chips, they don't fill the holes. They will still show or worst case not stick there.

Thanks for the complements, I appreciate it. I'm pretty pleased with the results myself. Now i'm trying to figure out what color to do my wheels. haha

As far as the wrap, I have some experience with vinyl wraps, but mostly just partial wraps like roofs and hoods. This was my first full wrap. It isn't that difficult of a car to wrap, but the cleaning and prep work take forever, especially when doing it all alone. I honestly don't know how many hours I have into it because I did it over multiple days. Hard to say on the difficulty because vinyl takes a lot of practice to figure out. So if you have done vinyl wraps before this car is probably super easy, if you haven't done it before i'm sure it would be a pain.

Painted front bumper? (In the middle) or wrapped? I feel like that area would be the hardest without cuts.
Also how was the rear diffuser(if you wrapped that as well).
Currently have some black wrap laying around and was thinking about ripping off some plastidip for the gloss wrap.

Also, any reason why you didnt wrap the handles?
