Default LED Strips

I'm planning on installing some LED light strips in either the front bumper or around the headlights to use as running lights... What's the best connection to use to have them on when the car is running regardless of headlight status?

if you put them around the headlites on the bottom you need 19 '' per lite and i would wire them to your ignition so when the car is on there on, they donot need a lot of power this is the way i installed mine i bought them online in white they look cool hope this helps .

Understand all, but I'm looking for info on the actual connection to use. Sure I could wire directly into the cabin to a 12v switched source, but I'm looking more for a switched source in the front area, maybe an unused wire or something.
