Black Zs with painted headlights
Let's see those black Zs with painted/modified headlights. I'm interested in getting mine done, but haven't seen many black Zs with painted headlights in the DIY thread or the ONEighty thread. Looking for ideas!

Anyone?

Just painted mine a few weeks ago, didn't want to do black because I thought it would be too dark for a black Z. Painted it gunmetal, will probably open it back up and paint the shrouds black later

I'm interested as well. I have an '11 Base+Sports MB and was going to have one-eighty do it when I was in the market for a silver Z. Now...I don't know. I like the carbon-accent on that Nismo, Nut N Much, but would probably try a VHT spray coat over the chrome.

doing mine now, satin black and orange

Mine will show up at ONEighty tomorrow. Doing solid magnetic black with single halos.
|
Mine have no halo's or LEDs. Just color matched to the body.

Thanks for the pics guys, some good looking headlights here. Those of you with work in progress, remember to post pics when they're done! |
I've been wondering the same thing for a while now.
Thought about leaving the housing chrome or maybe doing it silver to match wheels/door handles and panting the shrouds and reflector black. Maybe someones photoshop skills are way better than mine and would be willing try something like that. |
Satin black with red shrouds.

I agree with pfdaxe. There are a few good DIY'S out there to show you how to do them. From simple paint to complicated mod. please don't spend a bunch of money to have someone do them.
It take a day to finish a set. There is also lot of peeps to call if you need it. $900.00 or $175.00 DIY. What ever you do, the simplest mods always look the best and are timeless. Good luck. |
