Nismo Body Kit Conversion w/ Nismo CF High Wing
I am writing this post for others who are interested in doing the same converting their Base/Sport/Touring Model to a Nismo Body Kit.
Credits goes to: 370zFORme!! Thano tjlazer Upfront, I strongly advise anyone to buy a Nismo 370z before attempting this unless you want to piss money away like me. haha. Some might ask why I am doing the conversion then? Sigh, I guess I'm just greedy and wanted the OEM Touring Interior w/ the Nav along with the Body Kit, and anyone knows it's just as bad as a dilemma if I ended up with a Nismo 370z then trying to add back the factory Touring + Nav features. It's also pissing money away. Unless you live in Japan, then problem solved. They have a fully loaded Nav version Nismo 370z. Moving along, I'm still in the middle of collecting the rest of the pieces. Since there's so many parts to this conversion, I want to put together a BOM of the parts needed and their OEM P/N for the ease of ordering. I'll update this thread as I go. For cheapest online deal, I suggest you to an online warehouse such as: - Nissan Parts Zone - Courtesy Parts over going to a local dealership. Most Local dealership from my experience are a rip off and would hardly even give you a 10% discount. The only good part about it is you get to save on shipping. If you order that much parts anyway, you're better off ordering it online as paying $1-2 more per body clip/Screws/nuts, things will add up QUICK! Price listed below will be MSRP, you will need to shop for the best price. DO YOUR RESEARCH - TIME WILL SAVE YOU $$$. NISMO FRONT BUMPER CONVERSION: MUST BUY: 62050 - FBM23-1A47H - Fascia Front Bumper - QTY: 1 - $700.92 62026M - F2026-1A47A - Fascia Front Lower Bumper (Diffuser) - QTY: 1 - $439.44 74881 - G5892-1A30A - Under Engine Cover (OEM Nismo Undershroud) - QTY: 1 - $1,228.03 RECOMMEND TO BUY: 62066 - F2064-1A30A - Front Bumper Protector - QTY: 1 - $130.17 62066 +A - F2064-1A30B - Front Bumper Protector - QTY: 1 - $130.17 62066 +B - F2064-1A30C - Front Bumper Protector - QTY: 1 - $130.17 62066 +C - F2064-1A30D - Front Bumper Protector - QTY: 1 - $130.17 62675 - F2042-1A30A - Front Bumper Bracket (Bumper to Diffuser attachment) - QTY: 2 - $111.73 75895 - G5895-1A30A - Front Under Cover Protector (Under Tray Cover) - QTY: 1 - $351.79 63822 - F3845-1A30A - Left Front Fender Wheel Liner (Inner Wheel ell Liner) - QTY: 1 - $77.28 63821 - F3844-1A30A - Right Front Fender Wheel Liner (Inner Wheel Well Liner) - QTY: 1 - $72.45 ADDITIONAL PARTS (DON'T RECOMMEND TO BUY): |
I dont know the part number for the screws but theres somewhere around 8 -10 of them for the diffuser alone. I believe those screw plate things go on the inner front bottom of the bumper on the corners....right before the tires. Not sure if the oem under shroud will fit the nismo bumper.

I've been wanting the nismo front
|
You want Joe@ZSpeed's undertray, it's cheaper and better than OEM, AND he gives you the hardware

Until I got the ZSpeed undertray, my front bumper had no real rigidity, and I broke several fenderliners and clips. When I installed the undertray, I went with the Nismo front fender liners. The front end is much more solid now. |
can'twait to see the finish!

Nice garage!! and good luck on completing the conversion!

I would've went for amuse tbh, cheaper and looks better. But maybe your wanted to keep an OEM look.
I also like the look of the sport wheels on a nismo over nismo wheels. Z34 |

http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...psda174369.png I like how the original designer of the 370z actually designed these Rays as opposed to the Nismo ones. The only thing I like for the Nismo is the enlarged width - plus even if I have the money, I wouldn't upgrade em to Nismo, instead I'd get myself a set of aftermarket dedicated track wheels. As for the Body Kit, I think Amuse did a great job on it!! But I'd still prefer the OEM look. I fell in love with the Nismo body kit since it came out before I even bought the car - so I have a one track mind. I think the ultimate 370z would be a 40th Anniversary Edition with all the Nismo Body parts & upgrades including Nav from factory. That would be one pretty nice 370z. Before I bought my car, I was going to attempt that, but I call the HQ and they wouldn't put the Factory Nav in the 40th like the European ones. Also, I would love to have the 40th in Black like europe. |
I just placed an order thru Discount Body Parts for the Nismo Front Left & Right Fender Liner Splash Guard.
The OEM P/N's are: F3845-1A30A (Left) & F3844-1A30A (Right) and they go for $72.45/each MSRP. I placed an order for $26.13/each + free shipping from Discount Body Parts They're not OEM from Nissan but they claim they're OEM replacement parts and Nissan sometimes directly order parts from them. We'll see. If it serves the function, I'm happy. I'll post pictures when I get them in. |
Hey Scruffydog.
This nice, good detail, just what i need to start my planing, Just a thought, My plan is to do away with the front emblem and smooth out the nose. Your a mechanical engineer too like me, cool, to bad were 3k apart. I'll be looking over your shoulder |
Can't wait to see what happen next :)
Where did you order the bumper from? Sent from my RM-820_nam_att_100 using Board Express |

I'm in the process of converting front to Nismo front.
Do you know how to use that weird looking rivet to install the bumper brackets? It looks like a folded umbrella with a long pin. Also, are you planning to paint with your under facia installed? I'm debating whether to paint first and then fit other small pieces on or the other way around.. |
Looks good! Im looking at buying the Nismo kit through Z1. $4050 though. :O

Also, I am doing the conversion because in 09 the Nismo was not out and I like it more than the Amuse, also there are 4-5 Amuse Z in Houston already. |

Great idea for a thread. I'll be doing the same thing as soon as I decide on what pieces I want for sure. Was going to do Nismo S-tune, but still might go stillin since I bought my car to race. Like you I wish I would have just popped for Nismo to begin with. Nice garage and bikes by the way...:)

awesome thread! Nice to see how all those parts go together, ive had some damage in the front bumper area, and ive got some gap between the under diffuser and the bumper in the corners, i had to zip tie it. When i put on my intake, ill take it all apart and try to do something like you did with the metal clip, might make it more sturdy.
Are you going with NISMO wheels? I dont like the look of a nismo kit with sport wheels, just kills it IMO, one guy on the forum was selling a set for $1500 but one of the wheels needed re-finishing because he had sanded it and spray painted black. |
Looking good man!

Wow. Looks really good

Bottom Splash panel looks good, Have one coming from CZP, probably the same, explains why it’s so much less than factory, still can't understand why the Nismo part is 10X the price of the standard Z splash shield.
Could you do a comparison pic between the new fender liners and the existing ones, interested in see how much difference there is. The fill in pieces I was thinking of using some light gage aluminum sheet metal. Chassis black from Eastwood covers real good and is very durable, Painted the frame connectors on my Mustang and has held up exceptionally well. |

The only difference we'll have by fabing our own is that the OEM ones fills in nicely between the lines as partially some if the surface steps up. But these Fender liner protectors isn't going to be noticeable. |
I can't believe how many pieces for this conversion are different. So many guys go from the sport bumper to the Aero/IPL front on the G's, which is weird to me that they don't have a direct conversion for the NISMO from the base.
Anyways, awesome job with this. And thank you for doing it, made me realize how much of a PITA it would be to successfully complete it. |
Yea....sadly it is. The cost of the front bumper being MSRP of $350 (before Nissan jacked the price up to $800 due to high demand) is very attractive until I found out it cost over $1K+ for the rest of the parts. I'll post my detail spreadsheet for others that are interested once I figure out what's needed.
|
man, the more and more I look at all these pics, the more and more frustrated I get FOR YOU on this conversion. I cannot believe how much different all the pieces are between the two, especially coming from as a multiple infiniti owner and all the G's "IPL/AERO" stuff bolts right up with zero issues. Nissan much really not want people to get away with just throwing a Nismo front on and being able to call is a "Nismo".

Paint Option
I wonder if i should paint my car like the 2014 Nismo...2 tone.
Magnetic Black with Gun metal bottom skirt trim http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/w...-NISMO-011.jpg https://pictures.dealer.com/j/jdpowe...71853797d0.jpg Link |
Great info scruff! This will definitely help me when I install my front!
I'm debating whether to paint the front bumper first before I install the bottom facia and other brackets... If the bumper is properly masked, I assume it shouldn't be a problem if car is @ a competent shop for paint. What do you plan to do? are you going to unbolt/uninstall brackets before you paint? |

scruffy- the fender trim finisher in that 2014 nismo is i think the j-next piece. japanparts.com can source them for you.
