Bottom Splash panel looks good, Have one coming from CZP, probably the same, explains why it’s so much less than factory, still can't understand why the Nismo part is 10X the price of the standard Z splash shield.
Could you do a comparison pic between the new fender liners and the existing ones, interested in see how much difference there is. The fill in pieces I was thinking of using some light gage aluminum sheet metal. Chassis black from Eastwood covers real good and is very durable, Painted the frame connectors on my Mustang and has held up exceptionally well.

Thanks for the light gauge aluminum sheet metal idea, I might actually do that instead of plastic sheets and spray paint it flat black.
The only difference we'll have by fabing our own is that the OEM ones fills in nicely between the lines as partially some if the surface steps up. But these Fender liner protectors isn't going to be noticeable.

I can't believe how many pieces for this conversion are different. So many guys go from the sport bumper to the Aero/IPL front on the G's, which is weird to me that they don't have a direct conversion for the NISMO from the base.


Anyways, awesome job with this. And thank you for doing it, made me realize how much of a PITA it would be to successfully complete it.

Yea....sadly it is. The cost of the front bumper being MSRP of $350 (before Nissan jacked the price up to $800 due to high demand) is very attractive until I found out it cost over $1K+ for the rest of the parts. I'll post my detail spreadsheet for others that are interested once I figure out what's needed.

man, the more and more I look at all these pics, the more and more frustrated I get FOR YOU on this conversion. I cannot believe how much different all the pieces are between the two, especially coming from as a multiple infiniti owner and all the G's "IPL/AERO" stuff bolts right up with zero issues. Nissan much really not want people to get away with just throwing a Nismo front on and being able to call is a "Nismo".

Great info scruff! This will definitely help me when I install my front!

I'm debating whether to paint the front bumper first before I install the bottom facia and other brackets... If the bumper is properly masked, I assume it shouldn't be a problem if car is @ a competent shop for paint.

What do you plan to do? are you going to unbolt/uninstall brackets before you paint?

I actually dropped off these parts seperatly for my body shop. The bodyshop I'm dropping off is a friend of mine and I trust that he'll be competent enough. I really dunno, after looking at all that work, I want him to be able to just take off the stock bumper and swap it as easiest possible.

scruffy- the fender trim finisher in that 2014 nismo is i think the j-next piece. japanparts.com can source them for you.

Thanks Ken. Seems like JDM car manufacturers like those fender trim finishers. It's not very common here is it? They had it for the JDM 350z Nismo too. What exactly does it do? Just visual effect like fender flares?

I didn't get the Nismo fender liners, I was able to use my OEM ones with a little cutting. I'll post pics later.

After looking at it side by side, it's totally do-able.

So yet another installment in the Nismo conversion, I'm still collecting parts, driving down to PA to pick up the bumper cover, good price, saved on shipping and I have the opportunity to make sure nothing is damage and save the hassle of shipping it back.
Also I think the “made in china” fender liners is a good buy instead of hacking up the factory standard liners, if for some reason you want to return the car to stock you have the parts, As for the splash shield belly pan, I order one up from CZP, and was delivered yesterday, it came in stamped with a Nission part number, with No Made in china stickers on it. There is a slight difference were the rectangular cover at the bottom bolts in there, are some square opening for clips. Now this part as sold from CZP was $115 + the shipping, so I can’t understand why Nission is quoting over 1k for this. It’s just plastic nothing special. Another one of those mysteries in life

I'm guessing, as far as I can tell,it appears that way. After seeing what you bought this is what I though they would send. It did not come with the retangler cover plate to streamline the air flow on the bottom, but this I can fab up with some alum. sheet metal.
