Dr. Colorchip....??
Hey everyone we all know to well that the OEM paint on our cars is a joke.
I am wondering if anyone on here has used the Dr. Colorchip paint repair system and had luck? Also if it really works like they say can you put a clear bra on it after? or can you wax the vehicle without messing up the patch? |
I've used it on mine and it worked very well. I had numerous chips on the hood when I bought mine last year, but the good doc really covered them good. I don't have a clear bra, but I have polished and waxed over top and all is good.

same here I have had great results following the instructions and then polishing and waxing over it with no problems.

Same here; Awesome stuff. Deep chips will be colored but still a "crevice" if you will.

I've been wondering about this too. Might have to try it out once spring rolls around. |
Dr. Colorchip is excellent.

Dosen't it fade out over time?

I would not recommend putting clear bra on it after depending on where the chip is. If it is on the hood I think the clear bra will highlight the imperfection after touch up especially if it is a deep chip. Another kit that uses 3M putty and probably does just as good of a job if not better is Applied Colors. Next time I have to buy a touch up kit I will give them a try. Our famous deep scratch repair kit. 1000s sold. |
ok cool thanks for the info guys! :tiphat:

Hey I hae a couple of deep spots on my front bumper, do you guys think I should try to use some Bondo spot and chip putty in the deep chips before I use the DR.Colorchip?
