Plasti Dipping the rear tower bar?

Has anyone had a chance to do this? How did it turn out. I think since I have everything out of the car right now I might pull it out and quickly paint it with plasti dip. Anyone seen this or had it done?

I will this week! I have one can of plasti dip sitting at home but ill pick up a few more just in case (they are not as cheap up here as south of the boarder thats for sure). Judging by how well it holds up on rims I would think it would be perfect for that bar as when I stuff my hockey back in there it rubs up against it.

May work out, but i think a hockey bag sliding against it or bumping it would peel it pretty quick...
Should be a neat experiment none the less, look forward to seeing it.

Worst case if it starts to peel ill just tear it all off. I just figured the way it holds up on rims it should be pretty good. I usually lay a towel over the bar to keep it from scratching anyways, its the only way I can get my hockey bag to fit.

They are $5.49 at my local Home Depot. But i believe I saw them on amazon for $5-6 a can. Free shippping. Might be better for you..

I believe they sell up here for $20 a can. I know I can get them much cheaper but the I would have to wait 1 to 2 weeks for them to show up. Just goes to show the pricing difference north of the boarder.

i would spend a few bucks on black matte automotive vinyl instead. its way more durable and just as easy to apply. just use a hair dryer and wrap it!

Vinyl wrap is great...I did it on my roof.

I already have the spray so ill give that a try, if I dont like the results ill see about wrapping it.
