Default LED Landing Strip as Turnsignals

Would this be possible?

I have my headlight for modification and the modifier seems to be having trouble with Driver's side turnsignals.

The LED landing strip as turn signal on the passenger side works perfectly fine, however, the driver side landing strip turn signal does not work..

It worked on ONE test car but not the other and they are hesitant to send it along in case it does not work..

(they tested it on two cars. one nismo one regular)

Could any one chime in?

Thakns!

Is driver side headlight wiring different than the Passenger side headlight wiring????

Seems like 2009 350z and Maxima are different and that might be causing the headache..

Does anyone have a headlight wiring info?

Thanks!!

It might be mis-wired. Recheck the turn signal strip wiring to the turn signal wires.

is wiring the same for Driver side and passenger side?

He got off the phone with a buddy who owns 09 Maxima.. and.. supposedly for his Maxima, he had to tap into black with yellow stripe for the power source on the driver side, not green.

Is the the same for 370z?

Yes, I know a lot of people who have done it back in Dallas, I'll see if I can have them chime in

So it am not an expert but Yellow wire is constant power, take a test light and test the blue wire with the turn signal on.. It should pulse, if so try wiring to the black and blue if the blue pulses. That should get it flashing, not sure how to get it to stay on when not turning.

I would try also connecting to the yellow. When the lights are on that yellow should light them up, and when turning the blue would disrupt the power, the black is the ground. If that's not it the connect the ground to the blue and power to the yellow.

Attached was for another guy. On the inside off the light the colors are correct outside they are striped.

Thats all I can think of brother. Man I just read what I wrote and it sound like I'm on crack but its a process of elimination.

As others mentioned, the solid black wire is ground. The remaining wire is either DRL or turn signal. When you test, make sure you use a 12v LED (internal resistor) or connect an external resistor to the LED. You can also use a multimeter.

Awesome. That can happen similar to Christmas lights when the LEDs are wired up in series. For my headlights, I think I specified 3 strings of LEDs wired in series. The strings are wired in parallel. So if one goes out, I don't lose the whole thing. It'll look silly, but it'll be easy to hunt down which string failed.

I'm not the one wired it so i don't know but I think he wired them similar to yours Digi. But he received a batch of LEDs which were bad.

Headlights did stellar on the weatherproofing test, and are on their way home.
