Make sure when they change the windshield that they unscrew the pillar from the INSIDE before trying to pull the trim piece off. The shop I went to just ripped it off and cracked it. Cost me $500for repairs on both trim pieces.

A glass shop will fill it with silicone and you won't notice it. That's if it does not exceed certain parameters. Beware with glass shops, not all are the same and skilled. Should be around $50. If you have insurance, you might want to check with them.

At safelite right now. Turns out they can fill it and since i have statefarm its only $50.

Not submitting a claim, just get a discount for having it.

Was always told chips under the size of a nickel and cracks that can be covered by a dollar bill (except through the edges) can easily be repaired.

Suck getting chips but glad they can fix it.

I am scheduled Monday to have a rock chip fixed on mine by Safelite. Doesn't cost me a dime. Glad I don't have State Farm.
