Here's a pic of NuffZed's roadster with the second kit installed, one gen 1 strut and one gen 2... perfect height and tension

both together!

I guess I'll join in. If I can get this for 80 bucks that's money well spent.

if thats the case, fine, but the original post claims that the z1 hood dampers are bending hoods. which IMO...is wrong. considering z1 is an actual forum sponsor, and you are not.

Kelly is doing this to help out members AND paying a percent to the forum. He is not making a bunch of money or running a business like Z1. People have had problems with theirs be it install or slight difference in build who knows but problems were reported.

Just to be clear, the struts I had a fittment issue with are the Z1 hood struts, not the strut kit Kellyefields is offering.

Not everyone has issues but some people have.

To be clear: My goal here wasn't to start a pissing contest. I had a Z1 kit ready to purchase until Pintsize said she had issues with it warping her hood on the drivers side and had to uninstall them so I started looking for alternatives. At a MAZOC meet, one of the cars that showed up (I think it might have been xXXChrisXXx) had Kelly's hood damper kit and I really liked what I saw.

I tracked down Kelly on the forums and begged him to build me a set and he asked me to help drum up interest so that he can at least break even on the kits by selling more than just mine. Like literally bugged him until he agreed to make me a set. I think it took 3-4 PMs.

Basically, the guy was doing me a favor. If you have the Z1 kit and are happy with it, great. Several people *have* complained about it kit and Kelly's kit is just another way to go. I'm making no money off of this and Kelly is making very little (if any) so please stop acting like this is some sort of scam.

guys we need to let this go. if you want to go with z1 struts then go with them. you dont see me posting on their threads even though they used the design I came up with. They decided to make their own set after they said they did not want to work with me due to the low percentage they would make so they decided to cut out the middle man. simple fact is their kit is sound because I did the Research and development and got it right before selling them to the public the problem comes down to the fact the instructions on how to install them is not there. I lay out the issues that one may have and have had success in helping people fix the problems 99 percent of the time. I have even refunded people that did not like it for one reason or the other. Simply stated you can buy there kit or buy mine they are almost identical. I am doing this to help out the forum members and the only money made goes to the forum ($5 per each sale). So to chops

now down to business I have about 8 left if all of those that said they were interested comes through. Parts left the supplier and should be arriving soon. I will keep you posted and will send shipping info once I ship them via paypal.
