Did not realize Stillen made a Nismo replica wing.
|
What???
They dont |
I don't see it in the link?
|
This site says they do.
|
Can you see it now?

can't on my phone. Hmm.
|
Not seeing a Nismo wing, but I am seeing modified interior panels that look :yum:
Everything Silver has been darkened... If only it would convert the yen into $. |
Why wouldn't you just link directly to the link instead of making people jump through hoops?
Z34 Nismo carbon rear wing type | Fairlady Z34 Parts | | Fairlady Z parts ZCAR ZERO :shakes head: |
^^^Lol!!!
Whatever. Stillen doesn't make it... |
Uh oh... Headers... :ugh2:
|
That's just a typo on a random website, should have said Seibon not Stillen
Not that big of a deal, it's not like this on the Stillen website :icon14: |

I have it. It's seibon and looks awesome but is so so heavy. To open the trunk you have to use one hand to hold the trunk release and use the other to open the trunk.

Facepalm

Also, I believe the Nismo model has different springs that push up to help lift it. |
I see. I would have thought that carbon fiber would have been lighter.

You have: Dry carbon fiber Wet carbon fiber FRP wrapped carbon fiber Original part carbon fiber |
Do you know how the Seibon (Stillen:icon23:) wing is made?
It says on their site that it is a Carbon fiber Gloss Finish. |

Do you think the CF is paintable? I want the wing, but do not care for the CF. Or can the wrap be stripped off?
|
Oh its not a wrap like vinyl or anything like that. Its baked and heat treated. Not sure why you would want to paint it, but you can get the FRP version which is just a strong unpainted plastic, not made by seibon, for cheaper than the cf version.
|
Who is that by? Duraflex? Is it as good a quality?
Thanks for your advice. |

This wing isn't any lighter And yes you can paint over it with proper prepwork |
Not interested in Evo-r wing. The shape of the Seibon is closer to Nismo.
|
You can paint the Seibon CF products, just have to prep them properly, a good shop will know what to do.
|
I forgot the name of the other company that makes the FRP version, but I know I've never heard of them, so I cant comment on the quality.
|
Thanks to all for good info.
