Clearcoat coming off? HELP!

hey all i was washing my car today and noticed 2 little spots where i guess the clearcoat is peeling. I have had the car for 4 weeks and it has been washed once a week by hand. I dont know why this would be happening besides maybe it is really hot outside but is there anything i can do to fix this or should the dealer cover it? I am kind of upset that i bought a 30k car and this is already happening to the paint because i know it could get worse. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't touch it - take it to the dealer and get it repaired under warranty - Make a log of everything, just in case it continues and u need a new car.

So the dealer will repair it? How do i make a log? in the owners manual or should i just call and notify them. I will be doing this tomorrow.

Depending on how nice your dealer is, they might cover it. Speaking from personal experience, they might sight it as a paint chip if the car is 4 weeks old and do nothing but give you touch up paint to fix it. You will need clear coat however.

Are the edges smooth or rough around the blemish? If they are rough, it can be an indication of the clear coat failing. Keep this in mind when you talk to the dealer. If they say it was a rock chip, simply say it didn't go though to the paint.

Take a good photo, with a tape measure showing the size of the peal. If possible, include the date on the photo. Keep the photos until you no longer own the car! You never know when you may need them again.

You can tell it is the clear coat and not a rock chip. It didnt touch the paint only the clearcoat is peeling slightly. I will take some better pictures but It will be going to the dealer tomorrow.

So is the texture actually lower where the clearcoat is missing? i keep seeing these spots that look like that on my car, but the level looks flush.
