Motorized front license plate bracket - anyone with experience?
So I got pulled for my first time today in the year I've owned the car for lack of front plate.
One of those things that's been bugging me anyway so it's probably high time I do something about it. Some base information:

Err, I don't want to saw my front bumper. I'd rather just get a ticket (no offense)

I mounted my plate by drilling 2 small holes under my bumper and mounting the plate on L brackets so no holes visable. |
you are guna have to change the way you mount those running lights and use a tow hook mounted solution. there a several out there. i modified the stillen one.

Seriously, props to fuct for stating the most obvious solution - one that the dealership will handle for free. I have an appointment with the dealership this morning to see about moving the LED strips closer to the center of the bumper. After that, I'll contact the moweraxle guy and see about getting a trimmed down mounting bracket.

Actually ended up moving the LEDs to the outside edge of the spoiler and the tow hook is now accessible. Owe you a beer for pointing that out.
Really didn't want to take those lights off and don't want to get pulled over anymore. |
I just have to share some experience with motorized plate holder, I got pulled over 5 times and never got a ticket, 4 times i was pulled over by a car and by the time officer walked up to my car plate was already up so it just ended with "oh im sorry i did not see the plate, have a nice day" and one time i got pulled over on times square officer walked up to me from the front so it would be stupid to pull the plate up so i just had to tell a story how i lost it so they just let me go.
