Nismo Front Splitter?

Anyone know where to get this Nismo Front Splitter & Canards?

it's on the 370z tuner page...so nice!

I'm interested in anyone who has done a custom splitter/Canards for the Nismo 370z as well.

Cheers

I totally agree...it's functional too for down force.

I'm in the middle of converting my front to a Nismo bumper and instead of using the $300 piece of bottom half Fascia, I was trying to see if there are better alternative that's available (like shown).

Perhaps custom fab a splitter and bolt it on?

kenchan 01-08-2013 03:58 PM

i think the biggest issue would be that the nismo facia has a little hump in the middle section of the lip. can you fabriate a splitter that follows that hump?

if so, i think it can look good. :)

if you're talking about that tray that goes under the engine, i think you're going to need that for structural stability for the bumper.

I think that's like the hardest part too haha. By no means I'll be able to do it anytime soon. CF isn't my strongest suit. If I made a flat Splitter that doesn't follow the hump, which i'm sure serves some kind of functional purpose, i'm sure it'll still look okay. I'll see....at this point I'm just waiting for someone else to make it.

As for the engine cover tray, that one I cannot skimp on unfortunately. Unless this splitter is one big piece that combines the engine cover tray.

that hump in the center provides ground clearance when you are say driving onto/off those low center median/dividers to make your turn into parking lots and stuff. other then that, i dont think there's any purpose for it having that shape.

The top center section does raise up. But the black plastic piece under it does not raise up. So there is no difference in ground clearance in the center. It goes straight across. ;)

There is no canards in this picture. That is the end of Nismo bumper it's self. I'm having a hard time trying to see this splitter in this picture. I can see some type of support there for it.

Its there to provide clearance to prevent cosmetic damage. The diffuser under it is functional similar to the diffuser on the base sports package.

there are def canards in that pic...

I don't like canards on the regular 370Z, but due to the duck face like nature of the nismo I think canards break it up enough to make it look more like a car and less like a duck.

I think these are the canards on this particular Z.

Sorry, I don't think so. Those are not Nismo front bumpers in any of those pictures. And in the picture with the black Nismo. What you are seeing is the curve of the bumper line. The shadow in the picture making it look like one though. ;)

Here is a picture of mine. There is not much of a difference for clearance there. About 1 1/2 inch back if that. Then it goes flat. ;)
