Evo-R or JDM rear foglight?

The light looks higher on the Amuse so I don't know if there are any real mounts for the light or if it is just taped in. If just taped

I'm reviving this topic as is getting warmer and I plan to do the OEM, unfortunately I see there is slicing and splicing that go along with the installation of cars made or the States do not come pre wired. Has anyone taken pics (I saw a guy from Guam did but they're not too clear as to where to splice/ cut.)

HEK you can buy the harness on the The Z store for the OEM fog light. It runs a switch up to the center console. It is the only close to factory option for the ones that are not prewired. It is a bit pricey.

Don't get the OEM light, its too damn bright. I've had friends who drove behind me complain about how bright it is.

I replaced it with the EVO-R light and I love it when it flashes every time I break. Its also LED so it matches the taillights.

The JDM is a fog light thus how bright it is. That is why if you do the proper JDM install you should just buy the JDM wiring harness that comes with on off switch. Turn it on when it's foggy and don't want people to slam into you. Or ghetto rig it with break light. It's def not a light to be left on

Unless this is something you really, really want, I'd suggest: Neither.

It's not a simple install either way, as you have to break out the old dummy light, you'll never get to see it in action, and it will either annoy or go unnoticed by most drivers behind you.

It may be the single most pointless mod for the Z, even topping the GT-R start button, which by contrast is super-easy to install, inexpensive, risks annoying no one, and you at least get to see it all the time.

Then you might as well not install it cause you're rarely going to use it.

My Canadian model comes with the OEM fog light with a switch and I still took it out.

I have seen plenty of cars (GTR/STI/FRS/BRZ/ETC) with the "fog light" on when there isn't fog out. But I guess its a lose lose if you install any of them. A oem one that you will never use unless you want to annoy others, or the EVO-R one which you apparently shouldn't have either cause its rice.
