2009 370z tachometer
Hey guys,
I'm watching some videos of others 370z's and noticed that when they start the car the tachometer seems to do a test where it runs itself all the way up and back down. My car doesn't seem to do that, is it just because mine is an 09 and the videos may be newer cars? Thanks |
Not sure, but my 2012 does it.
|
My 09 does. Interesting.

You can turn the sweep feature on and off in all cars of all years, I forget the steps for the non-touring versions but it is spelled out in the operator manual.
The default state should be "sweep on", so that means someone turned it off. |
Simply a matter of a setting on my '09. I like it and will keep it set that way.

Under settings, choose "options" -> Effects -> on/off. |
Found it. In the Vehicle Information Display (the pod to the left of the wheel) select the "Options" menu and then select "Effects". This is the same menu where you change the language and units (km/miles).

Here is a summary of the posts.
370Z GAUGES ADJUSTMENT The gauges sweep feature at start-up can be turned on or off. Sweep on is the default setting. To change this start-up Setting use the Vehicle Information Display (the pod to the left of the steering wheel): Under settings, choose "Options", choose Effects and choose On (sweep) or Off (no sweep). |
Tachometer problem
I had the same thing on my 370z after a service.
I fixed it by going through the menu on the rectangular Display. Look for “effect” and set it back to “on”, this will fix the problem. Good luck! |
