front bumper different color on Nismo..

2010 solid red nismo has a different color front bumper. It's a darker shade of red. Will nissan do anything about this?

If you bought it straight from Nissan like that the warranty would cover it. If you bought it third party, probably not. What I would do, if you bought it Certified Nissan Preowned or straight from the dealership and it has, over time, become that way, and you're still in your coverage, take it back and see what they say.

Well depending on the severity, it can be normal. On every car, doesn't matter what manufacturer, paint on the plastic bumpers and side skirts will never 100% match paint on the metal body parts. Paint on 2 different surface types won't match completely, only manufacturers are able to do is get as close as possible without it being remotely noticeable. You mainly see it in direct full sunlight. Should be covered under warranty if it really bothers you.

I bet if you look at your car closely under different street lights or day time lighting you will see that every piece of the car that is plastic is a different shade or tone of color than the metal parts.

My 09 chicane yellow is like that. I had a Nissan rep check it when they came to town to check on some other problems that I had.

He checked it and with other people from the factory and they said that it was normal and acceptable. They have a certain amount of variance that is allowed on the paint.

So I think that it is normal on these cars. Other people probably won't notice but when its your car you see things like this. I know that I do.

Good luck.
