front bumper cover dent
Ok so i noticed outta the blue the other day that my front bumper cover has a slight dent just to the inside of the passenger side light. Its not very noticeable but being the perfectionist with my car i want it out. Almost as importantly i want to know what caused it. I will try and get pics tomorrow, but i wanted to know if anyone had figured out a way to get slight dents out of the front bumper cover. Or am i sol?
It just pisses me off cuz this thing only comes out on weekends and has NEVER hit anything. I want my baby back to being flawless. almost wondering if something warped? Any help us appreciated |
Try a PDR place and see if they think it can be fixed. I am always amazed on what those guys can do.

Alright thanks. May look into that
I have heard that if u slightly heat it with a hairdryer it soups form back to its original shaper. Three only thing that worries me is i have a clear bra and am worried about that deforming. Thoughts? |
If you're talking about where the bumper meets the hood, beside the passenger headlight, it is a factory flaw in almost all the non-nismos. Almost everyone has it. It is very subtle though....

No kidding???
I've never heard about this before. Anyone else have this issue? Will get pics up in a bit |
ok so heres a pic. its extremely hard to photograph this in a dimly lit garage. but it almost doesnt look like a dent as much as it does the piece just warping
http://www.the370z.com/members/edub3...-15-40-103.jpg the light reflection of the fornt bumper kind of illustrates what im talking about. the fact that u can see the single light reflecting in 2 different spots in the pic somewhat highlights the warping/dent |
Yup. There was a thread a couple of years ago about the same thing. Most people have it but don't really notice it. Totally normal from the factory....
|
had that in my Z before I sold it. Told the dealer and even had 2 salesman who had Z's go look at their cars. They all had that dent... Service manager tried to get all of them fixed for us but Nissan NA denied it as normal. What kind of company sells a car with a dent from the factory? I said goodbye to Nissan after that

well aint that some ****....
i had never heard about this before now |
I wonder if the 2013's have the same issue.

I know this is kind of an old thread but yesterday I parked my car in an orientation at the house to where when I looked at it I noticed a slight warp in the front bumper, right under the hood and more toward the passenger headlight. It's not really a dent, more like a small ball had hit the bumper and caused it to look like it was ever so slightly caved in. Is this the infamous factory 'warp' mentioned in this thread? I've been racking my brain and the Internet trying to figure out what to do and even though it's not perfect, I'd really like confirmation that this is actually quite typical and factory caused. Someone said they posted a picture of this dent in this thread but I'm not seeing it or a link.
I know without a doubt I've never hit anything with my car....so it bothers me, I thought it was the neighborhood kids that seem so fond of playing around my car! Anyone got a pic they could load so I can cross reference? Or maybe a link to the original thread about this dent? |
Holy $#!+, are you kidding me. Factory 'installed' dents, wtf is up with this??? OK, I am going to look at mine now and freak if I see this.
|
UPDATE: after doing a thorough inspection in my garage, under strong led lighting, I did not see any dents on my 2016. Thank the good Lord.
