Aesthetic advice needed

Hey does anyone have pics of a carbon fiber lip kit on a black 370z? I have an all black(murdered out) 370z that I'm debating adding a lip kit to. Problem I'm having is whether or not I want to go with carbon fiber or color matched frp. Any pics/advice is much appreciated.

Thanks!
Ross

I've been thinking the same thing about side blades also.

i always wanted Mines CF front lip on my black Z but unfortunately i sold it
IMO its the best looking front lip

The CF blends in well with both the 40th anniv. paint and magnetic black. Here's my old 350 with a CF front lip and wing- same paint code I believe as the black 370. should help you get an idea on the black on black theme

Thanks CheshireCat!!!! Much appreciated! That looks really good with the carbon fiber lip. I was worried that the CF would take away from the "all black" look, but it seems to still look "all black" until you get up close, and even then it's not a stark contrast. Think this solidifies my thoughts on going the CF route. Hopefully you'll see this soon at one of the local meets!

Yeah bro- I got the "I didn't even notice that was CF" comment a lot @ meets. It blends in very, very well.

Thanks again bro... Lookin forward to my first Florida meet

You can always smoke the cf pieces so it will be darker, as long as the cf weaves are still visible

Yay another thread to whore my pictures in :D Lol

Up close you can tell, and it's very noticeable in the sunlight

If you really wanna go up close it's really noticeable obviously lol

From a little bit further away though it looks painted.. somewhat

I went with CF because it was cheaper than buying the FRP and painting it lol. Also has a bit of a extra flare, but not too much like CF on other colors such as red, white, etc.

IMO definitely go for cf sideblades :) The ones on mine are carbon fiber as well. Not sure why but I think the rear looks better color matched than in carbon fiber, for the shine/sunline one anyway

digging the pics, c2. have you thought about blacking out the headlights?

.c2 10-27-2012 09:05 PM

Thanks :) Yes I have, kind of want to and kind of don't. Kind of scared that it'll make the car too blacked out looking :/

bldg636 10-27-2012 09:11 PM

Too blacked out?? I didn't know there was such a thing lol

AMG091 10-29-2012 08:59 PM

My car's black with cf lip and diffuser, can't even tell its cf sometimes. Blends in well

THanks for all of the advice . . . i think i'm pretty much set on getting the lip kit in CF now . . . now i just need to prioritize spending: exhaust, lip kit, rims . . . so much to get, not enough $ lol
