I think the damage looks worse than it really is, still the parts add up really fast. I'm guessing that due to the type of colision that the frame is fine but I would put it on the rack just to be sure.

Parts list:
- Front bumper cover & foam
- Rear bumper cover
- Fender
- Door
- Side skirt
- Rear rocker
- Front lower control arm
- Front hub
- Front spindle (possibly)
- Rear toe link
- Rear camber link
- Front wheel, rear wheel
- All airbags
- Impact sensors (front left, rear-side left)

If it's hard to get these cars in Peru then maybe it is worth it, but you have to make that decision based on overall cost and final value. You're at $8K just in parts (assuming used wheels), plus labor and paint.

It sounds like you're going to do the repair yourself and have done that before. You already know what that takes and seem willing to put out the effort. Hell...go for it. what it seems people don't understand is that when the insurance company totals a vehicle out, they are including hours and hours of labor in the repair. That jacks the estimate up a lot. By buying it and self repairing it, you are saying that you are willing to do the labor for less than they were willing to pay. Nothing more. The result is profit margin or discount to you should you keep it for yourself. You can use new or good used parts depending on what it is to save even more. The only down side is the salvage title. Some finance companies won't finance them and some insurance companies won't insure them. At least not around here. That can make it kinda tough to move them down the road. I ran into that on some salvage bikes I've built in the past.

If you can figure out a way for me to ship them to Peru, I have all airbags except the passenger one in the dash available. If I can figure out how to take that one out, I've got it too, plus any interior parts you might need.

My advice...

Put as little money in as possible, fill it with about 5 gallons of bondo, paint it and sell it as is. Only cosmetic repairs, then unload it on some fool who does not mind a salvage title.

If you have any morals, just part it out. Engine and tranny alone should be worth some good $$$. Interior stuff too not to mention any good quarterpanels and suspension that might be left.

do you guys see that he lives in Peru? The reason they buy and rebuild them is its a lot cheaper than paying the taxes on a working one.

This is what you need to figure out...

(import fees + value of a used Z with the same milage)

Minus

(the amount you will have to pay for + repair cost + labor + time)


If you think the outcome is worth the trouble, by all means go for it. But for me, i will suck it up and save up for a used Z

Thanks for the comments that come offering, there are positives, cautious. etc. More than a purchase can be a project, and will not be as fábrico left, I know. But here in Peru the taxes are so high that if you buy a second-to 23K for example we add 30% of the total value according to the blue book, out of other taxes, freight and other. Best option I see is, being a car for my use and clear would fix it, and that it is operating and maintaining security issues so I asked his opinion, what are the arrangements we see first impression.

i dont know how parts are priced there but my Z got hit parked needed a fender wheel lower control arm upper control arm steering rack strut and a subframe and im up to 13,500 in repairs. in parts alone i am at about 5k so far.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Really with the questions he is asking I don't believe he should be taking on this project. Maybe it's just the language barrier.

My English is not quite advanced, is a project for me, in Peru there are no specialists in 370z. When effort and help, everything is possible.
