Anyone Use Clear Plastidip in place of Clear Bra?

Has anyone tried using the Clear Plastidip as a Clear Front Bra? Which correct me if I am wrong is available.

It seems like it would be a good option since plastidip holds up well to rock chips apparently and it is not permanent and it doesn't cost $350-500.

I will let you know. Will be doing this for a road trip to wine country next week. Have the clear and the glossifier ordered.

It's a plasti-dip product that you spray on top of the first plastidip coast. It gives the coat a somewhat glossy, rather than flat, appearance.

They have a metalizer also that makes plastidipped wheels look much better, imo.

Never heard of it, would like to see finished product on the car

this is an interesting idea...ive been really considering some sort of paint protection for my front bumper...

I've heard of it being done. You will have to pull the tape when the plasti is still wet to keep it from sticking to the tape. Gonna wanna go four-five coats all at once. Should work well.

Did a google search and apparently one could also just go with the plasticoat glossifier alone as a clear bra. Not sure if it would provide as much rock chip protection as using the clear plasticote followed by the glossifier as you are planning.

It will probably look kind of ugly, since Plastidip doesn't self level perfectly. Would work great for show cars, trying to protect their paint until they made it to the event. I feel like plastic would be easier to remove than Plastidip though.

I intend to use specific to this trip only and will peel it off after the trip.

If done correctly, plastidip is waaaaaay easier to remove.

I don't think that will work. The Glossifier and other type of PlastiDip enhancement products are meant to over the Flat Black or their other rubberize paint products. Before you use it I would email them...here is a contact there
