Front Spoiler Replacement
Just wondering if any members have replaced the black chin spoiler on the 370z after it has gotten pretty beat up and what you had to do to replace it.
Looking at mine it seems that its pop rivetted in place and you would need to remove the front bumper to do it correctly. Note if you drill the rivet out, while the bumper is mounted , the rivet could spin and melt or damage the plastic bumper. Its surprizing it wouldn't be bolted in place instead of using rivets. |
I got a new OEM front spoiler and all the needed attachments that I could sell you. If your in Long Island or something and need a new one.

The front chin spoiler is worthless. Helps to actually reduce body lift but it's really just an audible alert that you're scraping.

Mine was falling off and scraped up bad. I took it off, coated it in bedliner, used a plastic rivit gun and re-installed it. Looks really good and only cost me about $20.00 to do. I went to the dealer and they wanted $800.00 for a new one. I kept telling them I thought they were quoting the wrong part but oh well it worked out for the best.

The spoiler on mine is pop rivetted in place and is a 3 piece unit, nissan sells it at peroria nissan , arizona for $205 internet price.
The $800 you were quoted was for a whole front painted bumper assembly, It depends how knowledgeable the parts counter guy is. |
