Just curious if anyone has a set of these. If so how are they?

Never seen those. The satin is a good look.
But I like these better. http://www.the370z.com/body-interior...r-emblems.html |

I got them in last week. They look great on and no need to shave down under the original emblems. Will post pics.
|
Thanks Cuse. Just ordered front/rear in chrome :) I like the smaller Z (other is too big), not having to shave down beneath the emblem and that it covers the bumper holes. Did you find an easy way to get the emblem off? On my 350z I stuck a small screwdriver under the side to start it but I now have one of those plastic removal tools so I'll try that first.
|
Just make sure its heated a little bit. Either let it bake in the sun or heat gun. I used a blow dryer but it took forever lol
|
Yep, I used the hairdryer on my 350z as well. I'm gonna heat it for 60 seconds and then use the plastic removal too to start prying it off from the side.
|
Should work perfectly!

Would like to see pics before I order! :tiphat: |
To get off the original emblem I got finishing line (or dental floss) and folded it over a couple times to make it thicker. I then heated the emblem with a hairdryer for about 15 seconds. I fed the fishing line under the side of the emblem and, in a saw like motion, went back and forth with the fishing line. It peeled away the emblem very easily. You may need to heat intermittently. Hope this helps.

Sorry for delay with pics. I've been getting home too late. I'll try and get them up tomorrow.

Well I ran out today for a minute to finally post pics of this emblem. I liked the CF backing I've been seeing on different threads so I did my own backing with CF vinyl. It actually looks really sharp in person on a black Z. I hope this helps people. And please excuse the filth....it's been raining a lot in Florida.
|
EVO-R's look better. IMO.
These are a little stealthier I guess. Look like Nissan badges until you get close. |
I thought about EVO's but when I saw it on some cars the Z looked to big for my liking.
Yeah I liked how it looked more like the nissan badge. Almost like it's from factory. |

Do these badges require backing plate? or can you fit the badges without backing plate? how is the fitment on these badges? Also can you post any clearer photos of these badges installed showing full front end and back end of car in similar viewing angles as shown by dmhenderson in his photos please. |
No backing required.
|
I'll get better pics today. I took those with my phone earlier. The fitment is perfect and like I previously posted, no need to shave down the nubs under the factory emblem. They were cut to fit the car. They came with 3M tape already applied. It was just peel and stick. Looks great in person.

The matte emblems have "issues" though and they're taking care of that. |
