I got them in last week. They look great on and no need to shave down under the original emblems. Will post pics.
|
Thanks Cuse. Just ordered front/rear in chrome :) I like the smaller Z (other is too big), not having to shave down beneath the emblem and that it covers the bumper holes. Did you find an easy way to get the emblem off? On my 350z I stuck a small screwdriver under the side to start it but I now have one of those plastic removal tools so I'll try that first.
|
Just make sure its heated a little bit. Either let it bake in the sun or heat gun. I used a blow dryer but it took forever lol
|
Yep, I used the hairdryer on my 350z as well. I'm gonna heat it for 60 seconds and then use the plastic removal too to start prying it off from the side.

Should work perfectly!

Would like to see pics before I order! :tiphat: |
To get off the original emblem I got finishing line (or dental floss) and folded it over a couple times to make it thicker. I then heated the emblem with a hairdryer for about 15 seconds. I fed the fishing line under the side of the emblem and, in a saw like motion, went back and forth with the fishing line. It peeled away the emblem very easily. You may need to heat intermittently. Hope this helps.

Sorry for delay with pics. I've been getting home too late. I'll try and get them up tomorrow.
