Base 370Z owners ONLY: How clean is your door side panels?

Okay, seems like these cloth padded side panels get dirty VERY easily. The seats in my car are still pretty much brand new (despite being the same fabric) but these panels got really dirty. I just don't know how. I am very careful when it comes to keeping the car clean and my hands are always clean. Anyone else feels the same way? Is your panels are dirty as well? I'm heading out to AutoZone right now to see what kind of fabric cleaner/protectant I can get. In my 350Z, I never this problem because they didn't use fabric in the door panels.

Mine is exactly the same, and I do not even think I have touched the door other than right below the window/car lock buttons.

a great cleaning product is

OXY cleaning it should be at wal mart for around $4.06 (here)
use that let air dry, finish off with (Go to furniture department) and use scotch gaurd.

I recommend steam cleaning them! No chemicals, there are a variety of steam cleaning units on the market now and they even sell small wand versions... from your pictures it almost looks like it is imbedded with skin residue and oils. Get CSI to check that with a UV light! If you go with a cleaner I suggest the 3M line...

Same here. I have found that it's dead skin (don't mean to gross everybody out here) off of your arm and elbow that is turning the fabric "whitish" in spots. I have started being careful about rubbing my arm against the material. That said, just like the seats, it is very tough material. I use a damp washcloth the lightly rub the material and the white spots come right out.

I've driven less than 1000 miles and mine looks like that too.

After cleaning, spray with scotch guard every 6 months or sooner. Cleaning the fabric stains will be easier.

so its my dead skin? sounds gross... lol ewww my gf is the only one that rides in my passenger side and i was wondering what that white stuff was... apparantly she has more dead skin then me

I did mine with Stoner's Fabrotek and it's stayed nice and clean and black. A quick damp wipe will take any marks off...

That looks like the same black cloth that was in my Spec-V Sentra. I always used "Shout" laundry stain remover and a soft cloth that was dampened with hot water. It worked very well.

BE careful with some products! IT can eat the glue away and loosen the fabric.
